I think about technology, marketing, media, and innovation. I'm addicted to emerging technology startups and commenting on trends. I don't think business and sustainability are mutually exclusive. Life is short - make it count.
I'm fascinated by how media, art, design and technologies shape business and I have an addiction attraction to emerging technology startups.
For the past 2 and a half years, I wrote the Business Filter for the Boston Globe and Boston.com, a daily blog and weekly column on tech, business and innovation.
I'm Director of Content and Marketing for WeeWorld, a virtual world and social network and home of the WeeMee ( make one for yourself, why don't you?). Each day I get up and focus on making great content and virtual goods for our millions of WeeMees.
In the past I've worked with Mobot to help ELLEgirl magazine and Warner Music Group make traditional ads interactive with mobile cameraphones. I've helped Lycos launch a social networking site and worked with SkyGo to create some of the first wireless marketing campaigns for MTV, Chevy Trucks, Visa and Procter & Gamble. At CMGi/ThingWorld.com I helped properties like the NFL, the WWF, Beanie Babies, Hasbro and Comedy Central distribute and market their content online. In 1994 I helped to launch Cybersmith, a first-of-its-kind Internet café chain. My first and still favorite job was at Houghton Mifflin, creating books at a time when electronic publishing was transforming the business.
One chocolate at 3:00 is a must. Best and hardest job I've ever had is being a mom. I procrastinate about writing my novel.
